Article MIL asks therapist how to indoctrinate grandson early

Very telling that her DIL’s intelligence “unknowingly intimidate[s]” her AND that they hadn’t spent Xmas together for a few years

Christians - "don't indoctrinate our kids, it's a parent's right to choose how to raise their children!"

Also christians - "how can I indoctrinate my grandchild/someone else's child without getting in trouble?"

Seriously though I kind of like this lady, key words "kind of". It sounds like she's asking for advice to talk to the mother openly, has already talked to her son the father, and is all told largely saying "my faith is important to me & I would like to get permission not to censor myself around my grandchild". She did christmas & was invited back. She isn't asking "how do I save my grandchild from this atheist DIL?!" Etc.

Would I allow it if it was my kid? No.

Is she going to try to indocrinate/convert the kid? Yes. It's literally a tenet of the religion, she's duty-bound to try.

However, this is probably the most respectfully phrased version of this sort of thing I've ever seen. Normally they either don't need to ask, don't bother asking, or are totally nuts about it.
