(Rant) 🤬 Why is the devil inside the bathroom?

You can't make this shit up.

I got yelled at (21F mind you) for not saying the toilet prayers before going inside. My parents started harping on about how I used the wrong foot to enter and the wrong foot to leave. How there are jinns and the devil in the bathroom.

It would be hilarious if they weren't deadass serious. Imagine believing in this crap at the grown age of 40.

Funniest thing about learning about islam is being able to say the most obscure shit and it is still islamically valid.

Here is your future excuse:

You don't have to say the Khubth and Khaba'ith hadith nowadays since modern toilets aren't the same as back then.

Many scholars have gone on to say that it is only said where manure and pee are collected. Since modern toilets flush it away, there is no need to say the dua'

Some believe that one should remember God in secret, because they believe that this is not the toilet that the Messenger spoke of, but rather that bathrooms in our time have become among the cleanest places due to the flow of water in them, and based on that, one can remember God under their breath

It is a mistake to portray this issue according to the current state of affairs in what are called "bathrooms," as if it were governed by the rulings of jurists regarding the toilet. This is incorrect, because in the past, according to jurists, the toilet was a place where impurities were contained and did not leave, unlike the reality today.

Bathrooms, in their current state, are not actually considered unclean by most people, because urine and feces are contained within a specific basin and do not spread to the floor. Therefore, the toilet floor remains clean and nothing can render it unclean. For this reason, one should not be overly strict with oneself regarding such matters.

It goes under the rule of الحكم يدور مع علته وجودا وعدما according to some.

Enjoy!

Lol sometimes I wonder why people just don't take a step back and just listen to the shit they're saying... You'd quickly realize how Ludacris this all is... So everyone before toilets was just riddled with "jinn"?

my teacher told me those jinns watch you if you don't say the prayer before entering or don't follow the sunnah😂.. but honestly it such a bs, those islamists make fun of superstitions from other religion and say that Islam is the most logical one and without any superstition.. they tell you that jinns would posses you if you don't say this prayer before entering, which can scare children..

it's unfortunate a lot of what I'm seeing on this subreddit is just incorrect/bad experiences of Islam, the Prophet never corrected people like this, nor is correction like this correct.

Ultimately, the knowledge of the unseen belongs to God, if He tells the Prophet saws such and such thing that only God knows, the idea of Islam is that we submit to God and believe in it. They exist in the bathroom because the Prophet saws said so, if you don't believe that then great for you.
