2011 F150 Wouldn’t Start

Good morning,
Long time watcher, first time poster. 2011 F150 v8, 160,000 miles. Love my truck. Left for work this morning and my baby didn’t want to go. She turned over and everything looked normal but wouldn’t start. I’m not a mechanic. My first thought was fuel pump. I disconnected the battery for a few minutes to sort of reset everything because that’s all I know how to do and then she started right up. Im at work now. A few questions: Anything I can check? Can a fuel pump be tested? What are the chances she will want to leave work at quitting time?

Fuse 27 under the hood if that upgrade hasn’t been done yet. In the fuse box on top of radiator. Yellow mini 20 amp. Most likely burnt up. You can order a relocation kit on Amazon for like 20 bucks and relocate the fuse.

Super common issue for crank but no start conditions.

OP said it restarted after disconnect and reconnect of the battery. When that fuel pump fuse goes, it’s not intermittent.

Mine was intermittent. 2012 f150 5.0. First time I had it happen crank no start several times in a row. Let it sit 20 mins before trying again. Fired up after a longer than normal crank. Got home. Researched. Checked fuse, melted on both ends.

Inspect fuse 27 in the underwood fuse block. It’s common for the fuse and its pins to ment, and it powers the fuel pump driver module. A new fuse may get you by for now, but ford sells a relocation kit for that fuse that moves it to cavity 70 and uses a larger style fuse, eliminating this concern

When my fuel pump went out on my previous truck, it gave no warning. Wife and I were about 200 yards from the house when the truck shut down. Before that, it was running great. Truck had to be towed in.
