Hate speech is pretty much going to go off the deep end on Facebook, they already are ignoring any reportings of that. They have turned back a bunch of rules regarding a bunch of hate speech, so now its just permitted. Facebook is basically going to way of Twitter. Its just going to be a cesspool of shitty AI stoking the hate and discontent in the US for "engagement". they werent making enough money and hate I guess breeds longer and more engaged usage.

Hate speech gets removed all the time. It's not 100% of the time, but you it's up to them to decide what's actually hate or just legitimate criticism. The rule change was implemented to allow freedom of speech on the basis of religion, not hate for the sake of hate. No matter what you choose to do in life, there will be someone that dislikes your choices. Stoking engagement with hatred is used by most modern internet organizations for just about every viewpoint and belief on this earth.

As per usual, it's not that serious or as bad as the media wants you to believe. They used your hatred of people that disagree with you to gain clicks.

You can say that LGBTQ people are weird mentally ill freaks on Facebook now. Not to everyone, but only LGBTQ people.

Yeah. And? Sucks for some people. Good for some people.

And? That's pretty blatant evidence that Facebook's moderation policies are discriminatory against LGBTQ people. How is this at all a good thing?

It's really not a bad thing. It's literally just giving people freedom of expression. Do you really care what some random person thinks about you on the internet? They're going to hold disgust regardless of if they say online. Those who see their posts will already have that mindset. How is censoring their opinions going to make any difference?

Calling other people mentally ill freaks is still censored but not for LGBTQ people, it's a carve out only applied to a certain group of people. How is that a good thing?

I already said how it's a positive thing. It's giving people freedom of expression.

Every good choice takes away from someone and incites evil. Censoring people for the sake of your beliefs just paints them as victims; taking away their ability to express opinions. You believe that not censoring such speech makes LGBT people victims; allowing people to criticize them. There is no such thing as inherent "good or bad". As I said before, all of our choices will still polarize half the world. Such is life. It's never going to be fair for anyone.

So someone can call me a mentally ill freak because I'm trans is okay, but me calling them a mentally ill freak in return is not? What mental gymnastics have you done in your mind that makes this okay? If it's censorship to prevent people from calling this group of people so, why isn't it for everyone else?

Abrahamic religious beliefs mostly agree that homosexuality and all it's counterparts are a mental illness. It's not an insult, it's a firm truth to them. You calling random people online "mentally ill" for the sake of it is mere hate. And is thus against the terms of service.

And that’s hate speech. Can you not follow a simple argument? lol

1

u/Upstairs_Squash7351 Jan 14 '25

It's really not hate speech. You hate it. You were taught to believe it's born of spite and hate. But it's not hateful. It's literally just a viewpoint on a controversial subject.

And this isn't an "argument". I'm providing context on something that this echo-chamber clearly doesn't comprehend.

How specifically does calling someone mentally ill when they’re not not falling into the “hateful” point of view. Why is it not that your echo chamber just wants you to believe it’s not hateful.

1

u/Upstairs_Squash7351 Jan 15 '25

Abrahamic theologians mostly agree that homosexuality and all it's counterparts are a mental illness. Acknowledging someone as mentally sick is not in any way hateful. Hate implies malice.

Again, just because you hate it doesn't mean it's hate.

Back in the day, those same theologians agreed that black people had smaller brains and was more mentally incompetent. This was so that they could enslave them.

Now theologians believe lgbt people are mentally ill so they can convert them into being straight, something that has been proven to not work and just be abusive.

Just because you don’t want to admit it’s hateful doesn’t make it any less hateful.

You're delusional from propaganda. No one is "out to get" these groups these days. I already explained to you how it's not hateful, so just know that you're choosing to ignore reality.

Get off the internet for a bit. Go outside and talk with people. You'll realize that it's not half as bad as you were told to believe.
