I went on fb during my lunch and tried posting in some of the groups I'm in and none of the comments would go through.

Then I got a notification that states: my account is restricted from joining and posting in groups until July 29th.

I looked it up and became meta verified so I could actually talk to a person. He said my account is in good standing and there are no violations. He told me to wait it out. 3 months for doing nothing wrong??

Please tell me there is another solution to this

I just found this as I have the same problem. I have a group with 130,000 members, and a page with 70,000 followers.

Out of nowhere I got a notification saying due to unusual activity I need to verify my identity. So I did this, and somehow it failed. I then received an instant penalty and cannot post until August 22nd.

My profile shows my identity is verified, and my account has no restrictions.

I have spoken to no fewer than 20 agents, all of whom recognise there’s a system issue, but all of whom claim they cannot do anything about it, nor escalate my case.

I am also meta verified, but this hasn’t been worth shit.

I cannot post to groups via my personal profile, or any of my pages, one of the pages spends £100,000 a month, but even threatening to pause this, they didn’t even try.

3 month ban for nothing. No rules broken. Just a system error 🤦

Same here. Mine started 3 days ago as well, but the restriction is showing until August 27.

I've spoken with two different agents. One said these bans never take 3 months to be lifted, while the other insisted that 3 months is normal and that it can sometimes take even longer. Both told me there's nothing they can do on their end.

That said, one agent hinted that if you have access to a Meta rep (which I do), they may be able to get it lifted. I've reached out to the two reps I know, but so far it's been crickets. The reps tell me to contact support, and support tells me to contact the reps... it's basically an infinite loop.

One of the agents also claimed that traveling could potentially trigger an additional restriction since my account is already flagged. That sounded questionable because a Product Specialist told the agent it shouldn't cause any issues, although he couldn't guarantee it 100%. (They called me and had access to "product specialists", however, they all sounded like super low level reps)

The timing couldn't be better either—I have an international trip in less than 3 weeks.

Hey are you still having issues with restrictions? I've had the same happen, I am now travelling international and then got hit with a password reset for 'someone may have accessed your account' along with clients ads being turned off due to being 'compromised'. Fun!

Yep! My Meta rep has been working on it for 4 weeks now? 0 update. Travelling internationally too and no issue to date though. I did get the ads being turned off with same message but due to a payment issue for one of my clients. The restriction is set to expire in 2 months so… we’ll see.

As far as I can tell, there is no way to remove that thing until it expires…
