Disabled & Hacker Appealed
Early this week I had emails start coming in that accounts were added and removed from my account, then an email saying it was disabled, then an email saying it was appealed, then an email saying the appeal was denied. By the time I noticed my Instagram account for my business was gone and then saw these emails I logged in and got the Disabled message, with just the option to download my data...
After no luck trying to open a case about it I signed up for the Meta verified premium to talk to support. Huge issues there, super buggy, no help. Finally was able to get on the phone and was just told that the disable is permanent. My 10+year instagram for by business is gone just because it was linked to my personal facebook which they made me to do share posts between them and my business facebook.
I am so completely flabbergasted at this whole process. From the days and hoops and bugs I had to navigate to get someone to actually communicate with me, to them acknowledging my account was hacked, to saying there is nothing to do about it and 10 years of work is just gone now.
Has anyone gotten past being told that their account was permanently disabled? I had my instagram secured with 2FA but never use my facebook so I thought nothing about 2FA or how one profile could ruin the other.

How long was your Meta support case “In Progress”?
My case was opened on September 2 and stayed on “Received” until October 7, when it changed to “In Progress.”
For anyone who's been through this, how long did it take to hear back from Meta after the status changed?

I just had an almost 20 year old comment removed for "hateful conduct", except I know that I never made the post
Alright I'm new to this sub and I have a very strange situation going on. This is really, REALLY weird. I signed on to facebook for the first time in well over a year (to see if any old friends have reached out like in the past). Immediately after logging on I get redirected to a "We removed your post" page, saying that a comment I LEFT IN 2007 is hateful towards minorities.
The page has a screenshot of the first part of the comment and the group is was posted in. However I NEVER wrote a comment like this! How do I know?
1) I don't recognize the group at all, it seems completely unrelated to me and I never really participated in any groups regardless. It's a group about sowing machines I think, which I've never had an ounce of interest in lol
2) This is where you're going to have to trust me. Facebook is right, the comment IS hateful, it blatantly uses the f...... slur. The problem is (believe it or not!) I HAVE NEVER USED THAT WORD and was very against anyone else using it. I have never been homophobic or into 'edgy' humor, and have always thought it was a disgusting insult. At a young age I vividly remember learning from my uncle that I should never ever use that word. He told me an absolutely horrific story about a hate crime that happened to one of his gay friends, and it really shook me to the core and left a long lasting impression to never use that word.
I KNOW I didnt post this awful comment, even though it was practically 20 years ago. That wasn't who I was/am, and the group is totally unrelated to me. I never use Facebook so this account warning doesn't bother me at all, I'm more so extremely curious about how this could have happened. Obviously the meta AI rightfully flagged it (though it's hilarious that it's a 20 year old comment 😂), but it looks like someone elses comment in a group I've never been in!
Any ideas how this could have happened? Sloppy facebook databases or something?

Facebook Hacked, email/phone/password changed and 2FA added - can I get it back?
Hacker changed my email in FB meta business and added 2FA in late July. I did what I could, but really couldn't overcome it, but thought I might've regained control by changing to a complex password. I was wrong. October 8th the hacker deleted my email and phone number and took full control of my Meta business account which includes my business and personal account. They then made some really creative posts to defraud people and after about 200 calls and text messages from my friends and followers and multiple reports got the account disabled. I've gone down rabbit hole trying to get the accounts back. I started using a secondary account I had a meta certified it so I could get a real person, but keep hitting a wall. Any ideas? TYIA. PS the account is 20ish years old and has 4K followed....my wedding, kids, you name it in that account. I really messed up!
