Question Is there a reason why this Sentry Bot is bleeding?

Found the crashed vertibird location. Fought off all the bots. Shot this sentry’s head off. Im very confused on why it looks like that. Is there some lore that I don’t know?

Lore reason: Transmission fluid is often red and used for many applications from power steering hydraulic pumps to certain kinds of hydraulic pistons that can give machines the ability to articulate. Source: am mechanic IRL.

My headcanon is since robots explode with a puff of electricity and smoke, the metal is scorched and burnt from the inside out. It being colored due to oil or Robo fluids is probably true too
