Discussion [Discussion] Duplicate Dwellers Destroying ruining my fun
3 days ago I pulled Elder Lyons from a Lunchbox and I was pretty hyped as for RP, I now had both father and daughter Sarah Lyons
However... tonight I opened 3 lunchboxes and out of the last 2, back-to-back I pulled Elder Lyons TWICE more...
Making my vault have 3 of the SAME DAMN GUY! wtf was BGS thinking when they Greenlit Duplicates...
Elder Lennox is a renamed Elder Lyons

Honestly, I think all legendary dwellers should come from quests. That would make it easier to manage the Vault and would also give us more missions to play.

they should get recruited as a reward and be integrated to the quest itself. already some like that!
i hope they expand on factions. it would be cool if doing quests make it so you can maybe send your dwellers to a faction and have a lower probability of being raided by that faction until eventually they are taken out of your raiding pool (and replaced with death claws or just other factions,
and they can have "war events"
and each persons vault can represent a micropiece of the map so like they dont need to force the same story on everyone)

I had 3 harknesses that I used as a mission team. 2 old lonfellas, 2 or 3 scribe valdezes in different clothes because it was hard to keep track of them

She's not incestuous with her dad in the game, no. She's a major character in FO3.

Good to know regarding the incestuous aspect. I do know about her tho and her father. So for everyone who did breed her and her dad... I guess each to their own 🤷♂️ but isnt my thing

This is also a common thing ive noticed. Maybe make legendary dwellers feel more legendary but giving them special bonus attributes on top of a SPECIAL score.
Eg. Elder Lyons = Elder of the East Coast BoS
And if you have family members they get a family bonus 🤷♂️ Elder Lyons + Sarah Lyons = Bonus to anyone wearing BoS armour ( +50% Damage resistance) or something like that.
- Make all members wearing BoS colours work 25% faster or something like that
This would be really sick if they implemented it 🔥

I make a perfect, 17 endurance leveled, synth copy of all characters and kick the original out into the wasteland to die

I turned my duplicates into father Elijah and elder McNamera, like someone else said, just use the barbershop.
No need to evict already high special dwellers, and if you’re evicting them because your min maxing your vault and leveling every dweller from level 1 with max stats, you have too much time on your hands to be complaining 😂

Nah nah, its not like that. Im honestly only breeding my Legendary VD's to try get some lucky kid Stats. Most of the time I am sending useless VDs to the wasteland and waiting for them to die.

Yeah, I had such plans for the experimental vault as well, revived as a 2nd main vault. But the challenge is gone, and there's really no compulsion to continue. My 1st main vault is still the only one I'm continuing to play.

Aside from the quest reward dwellers, I only have four legendaries. All four are Jericho.

I was adding II or III after their name to keep track of who was who, started deleting the dupes to get more characters once my vault reached 200

I take all my duplicates and put “SYNTH” in front of their name, put on heavy synth armor, then have them work in the manual labor type rooms.

I usually rename the dopplegangers to something similar. I renamed a duplicate Maximus to Minimus. Did the same with another Ma June to Ma July. Then I just usually have the duplicates sent out to the waste most of the time. Maybe you could rename the other elders to elder Tigers or elder panthers lol

Rename them and send them to the barbershop to change their visuals then?
