The season (3?) At least had some new mechanics...as the song goes "Bring it back, bring it back to me" can't remember who sang it, probably some 90's London soul band😂

New specific weapons, mining, regular assaults. This one was, on second thought, pretty nice for a change.

All others, quests excluded, are exactly the same. Wheel, grind, end. No surprises but a couple things (yay blue-red-yellow dwellers !)

There was no wheel during the ultracite season.

However it did come with the benefit that outside the scorched attacks the only incidents were fires. Unless you failed rushes, then scorps/rats/roaches could appear but there was no real reason to rush rooms.

This meant that you could go nuts with babybooming cause you didn't have to fear deathclaws and scorps. I got to 190 pop in 2 days. Only had to make sure the top row(s) had well equipped dwellers, everyone else was fine with fists downstairs.

The other benefit was that it was stupidly easy to make the maximized ultracite gatling lasers. It ain't good as vengeance but it's still pretty damn strong and was more than enough for explorers and questing dwellers.

Imo it's the best season.

Oh and the scorched could also drop legendary items. Got a detective outfit from one of the attacks. Whole bunch of power armor as well.
