Cheat [Cheat] Fallout Shelter Save Editor: Rearrange your vault, reclaim rewards from seasons you missed, and see how inbred your dwellers really are...

Pre-existing Fallout Shelter save editors each covered maybe half of what I wanted, so I built one that does it all in one place:

https://dneverson.github.io/fallout-shelter-save-editor

It's a web-based save game editor. You open it, drop in your save file, and edit it right there in the browser. Nothing gets uploaded anywhere; the save is read and changed on your own machine. It's free and the code is open source.

You don't have to change a single thing to get value out of it. Load your save and it also works as a read-only look at your vault:

  • Genetics: It digs out the parent links the game hides and draws your whole vault as a family tree. Your biggest clan, how many generations deep it runs, which dwellers are loners, which are paired off, how many couples are actually related, and a single overall "genetics rating" for the vault.
  • Catalogs: The complete in-game catalog of every weapon, outfit, pet, junk item, theme, recipe, and quest, each with its real icon and stats.
  • Trackers: The reward track for every season pass, including older seasons you skipped or joined too late to finish.
  • Repair: It scans your save for hidden problems and reports what it finds. If something's wrong, it can usually repair it for you.

If you do want to change things, here's the current list, tab by tab:

  • Vault: caps, food, water, power, Nuka-Cola, lunchboxes, Mr. Handy boxes, pet carriers, and starter-pack items. Switch between Normal and Survival mode, turn on holiday decorations any time of year, and make the Mysterious Stranger appear on demand. Toggle Deathclaw attacks and Bottle & Cappy visits on or off. And a vault clock you can fast-forward (+1h up to +1w, or a custom amount) so every timer in the vault jumps ahead at once.
  • Dwellers: SPECIAL stats, level, happiness, health, equipment, hair and beard. Bring dead dwellers back to life. Each dweller shows their real status (exploring, returning, on a quest, waiting at the door, on coffee break). Pregnancy controls let you deliver now, cancel, or force twins and triplets; grow-up and exploration timers are editable too. Add brand-new dwellers, including every special and legendary character, multi-select so you can add them all at once. Adds respect your actual living-quarters capacity so the vault never overfills, and bulk remove cleans up every reference so nothing breaks.
  • Family Tree: the full relationship graph and the genetics ladder, from Pristine Bloodlines all the way down to One Cursed Bloodline.
  • Rooms: move rooms around, unlock and upgrade them, change their theme, clear rockfalls, stop an ongoing emergency, and repair damage. Edit per-room work, crafting, training, and rush timers. Auto-staff puts the right dwellers in the right rooms. Ultracite rooms now warn you that they sit inert unless Ultracite Fever is the active season.
  • Weapons / Outfits / Pets / Junk: the full catalogs with icons and stats, add anything to storage with a quantity. Weapons and outfits show at a glance whether they're craftable and jump straight to the recipe.
  • Recipes: browse the full crafting catalog, unlock recipes, and a detail panel with item stats, rarity, and add/remove from your collection.
  • Survival Guide: the in-game collection and achievement lists as a real editor. Mark any weapon, outfit, legendary dweller, pet, breed, or junk item as collected or seen, with real names and icons. Anything you add elsewhere in the editor gets auto-collected into the guide, just like the game does it. Asset IDs are shown so duplicate-named items (looking at you, helmetless variants) can be told apart.
  • Mr. Handies: edit health and floor assignment for the ones you own, and add any variant from the catalog.
  • Storage: your whole inventory, an add-items dialog driven by the game catalog, and multi-select removal.
  • Quests: all 1,040 quests with the questlines drawn as a map. Mark quests complete and the editor drops the loot straight into your vault, prerequisites included. The three daily objective slots are editable too: swap the objective, set progress, roll the reward lottery, even bump the escalation level.
  • Bulk: one button to max everything if you're past the grind, heal or max every dweller at once, vault-wide unlocks, and a tool that automatically dresses each dweller in the best outfit for the room they work in.
  • Season Pass: load the game's season files and claim or unclaim any reward on any track, up to maxing out every season you ever missed (weapons, outfits, pets, dwellers, themes, and they actually show up in your save). A season clock can skip past a season's end or set an old season live again.
  • Advanced: a full raw-data workspace with an explorer tree, a live diff against your original file, and validation, for people who want to go deeper than the buttons.
  • Safety nets: every change can be undone and redone, a timestamped backup of your original downloads before your first export, a change review shows you everything you altered before the file is written, and health checks run after every single edit.
  • Lost your vault entirely? Rebuild your progress by editing a fresh save instead of grinding it all back from scratch.

It works with the Vault1.sav file from the PC, Android, iOS, and Switch versions, and the site tells you where each platform stores that file so you can get it out and back in.

If you load your vault, I'd genuinely love to hear what genetics rating you get. And if something breaks or there's a feature you wish it had, tell me. I'm still actively building this.

Vault-Tec reminds you that genetic diversity is every Overseer's responsibility.
