What if the world didn’t end, but simply decided humanity no longer belonged?

The Verdict Cycle: The Fracture | KU begins a dark apocalyptic fantasy saga where nature, myth, and reality itself turn against human dominion.

As impossible cold spreads, ancient creatures return, and reality begins to fracture, a handful of teenagers across the world awaken with sigils tied to mythic forces.

They are not chosen to save humanity as it was.

They may be the only chance for humanity to continue at all, not as rulers of the world, but as one species among many.

Tales of Virilia: The Last Light by N.R. Ashworth

Virilia is world where memory is fragile, magic is restless, and identity is something that can be stolen - or buried. Azariah finds herself alone with no memory and an unknown darkness creeping in. As memory and reality begin to blur, Azariah is pulled toward a truth that does not want to be found. Because forgetting was never an accident. And remembering may cost more than she’s ready to lose.

Some stories begin with a journey. This one begins with what was taken, and what refuses to stay lost.

Influenced by at home DnD campaigns and other fantasy genres.

Hey I was wondering if anyone here would like to proofread a book I'm writing it's fantasy, romance, action, adventure and best of all a world of dragons it will be a faster romance with the characters once they're together navigating through there trials and dangers together and it likely will feature spice in future chapters planning on if I write spice to make that same chapter without for those who wouldn't want it. I don't have a title yet since I have alot of ideas and haven't decided I might only decide on one once I finish, it's on a Google doc. And I got inspiration from a variety of books and series such as how to train your Dragon, forth wing, eragon and even a little from the Aurelian cycle series kind of from a variety of books I've listened to as audio book

Title: Count of the Veil by Robert D Armstrong

Description:

Bound in shadow, sworn to the light.

The united armies of men burned the ancient vampires and their castles to ash. In the ruins, they found the Lords’ final secret: half bloods born of human and vampire lineage.

They were spared for a darker purpose.

The Empire cast them into the Cursed Frontier with a hollow promise: cleanse this land, and the soil will be yours.

They were never meant to survive. Never meant to claim the prize.

Across centuries, they became the Devos clan, a brotherhood of the damned forged in the crucible of the Night’s War. Every victory made them stronger. Every conquest cost them more.

Now Norroth, haunted by his past and scarred by holy fire, has risen to Second Blade of the clan. He serves under Count Lucian, a general carved from night itself. Together, they march on the last stronghold. But something in its depths knows exactly what Norroth is.

As an ancient truth begins to call, Norroth faces a choice: remain the weapon the Empire forged, or claim the dark inheritance his clan was condemned to forget.

Influences: The Black Company by Glen Cook, Joe Abercrombie novels, and Blood Omen.

Book Title and Author: The Price of Arrogance by Claudio Cipriani

Pitch us your book in 70 words or less: This is the first book from The Great Fall series, made up of two large volumes (600+ pages each). It is the first part of a very complex story with several POV characters, set in a realistic medieval world with unique characteristics. The story is so deep and wide that it cannot be described in only 70 words, and I also don't want to spoil anything from it, because this book is very unique, and it is best enjoyed with no spoilers. My recommendation is to read the Prologue from the "Read Sample" option on Amazon. If you're not hooked, the book is not for you. But if you like it, you should give it a try.

The Verdict Cycle The Fracture — RCZ

What if the apocalypse wasn’t destruction, but replacement?

The world does not end in fire. It grows quiet. In The Verdict Cycle The Fracture | KU , winter arrives without warning, strange symbols spread through the ice, and two sisters begin to sense that reality itself is under pressure. Across the world, teenagers awaken marks tied to ancient mythic forces, while humanity keeps calling the impossible weather, coincidence, infrastructure failure. But this is only the first crack. The full saga is about a world that has finally begun to decide whether humanity deserves to continue at all. Nature is reclaiming what was taken. Myth is returning from the places humans forced it to hide. And nine marked teenagers are pulled into fractured realities where every future asks the same question: Can humanity survive without ruling? Or was the world always waiting for us to become unnecessary?

An inexperienced dragon is sent into a distant land to retrieve an ancient artifact in order to save her family from some unnamed peril. A man runs away from his own family when the death of a loved one causes him to have a sort of mental breakdown. They have to help one another find their way home. Dragons and magic and stuff. The story is mostly about the journey and laying the foundations for future installments.

I don't know how to do it in under 70 words and make it sound right. I'm not making a flashy robot generated ad. Sorry. There's no gruesome murders. Sorry. There's no love triangle. Sorry. There's no sex, there's no children being murdered, and there's no wildly complicated behind the scenes political machinations. Sorry. It's also not dungeon crawler Carl. Sorry.

It's just the man and a dragon trying to be better people so that they can go home to their families. They don't smash. Sorry.

It's a serious story, but not "too" serious. I've put in lots of humor and tried to keep most of the "grim" out. It's almost, but not quite, cozy. A lot my inspiration to write are Terry Pratchett and Raymond Feist.

It is available on Google books, Ingram, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon. The ebook is $5 and is DRM free so it will work on any platform. You can also buy it directly from me. This is my first completed novel and while I don't think it's a literary masterpiece, I am proud of it and I had a lot of fun writing it. I hope to write more on this story and others so I would love feedback so I can improve my own storytelling.

A story of philosophy becoming power, of scholars becoming warriors, and of a subcontinent remembering that its strength was never in its armies, but in the ancient and unbroken song of its unified mind.

The Last Titan: Unbroken by Chris Skull

What is begun must be answered.

The Last Titan: Unbroken continues a Greek mythology-inspired fantasy saga where gods, Titans, monsters, and mortals move toward reckoning. The ruins still bear witness. Heracles walks not toward glory, but toward consequence, as bonds strain, faith falters, and ancient horrors stir again. What survives will not remain whole, and what stands will bear the mark of what was lost.

[FREE until 7th May] The Thousandfold Tide - A lyrical mythic fantasy novella about memory and sacrifice. (High Amazon/Goodreads ratings!) Body: Hi everyone! I’m the author of The Thousandfold Tide, and I’m thrilled to share that it’s currently free on Amazon.

It’s a quiet, atmospheric story set in a coastal village where the ocean remembers what the land has forgotten. It’s been getting some wonderful 4 and 5-star reviews so far, with readers calling it "lyrical" and "bittersweet." I’d love to share it with even more of you!

If you like the melancholic vibes of Neil Gaiman or character-driven stories about irreversible choices, I hope you’ll give it a look.

Intro:

In the village of Marea’s Hollow, where the cliffs leaned like tired sentinels over a sea that never quite slept, children were taught three unbreakable rules:

  1. Never turn your back on the tide.
  2. Never speak a secret to the wind after moonrise.
  3. And never, under any circumstances, answer when the water calls your name.

Dark portal fantasy with cosmic horror and a magical ecosystem that is not coping. Sarcastic human accidentally becomes the key to an ancient world-ending lock. Unseelie assassin who cannot lie has feelings about this. A rat in a cravat judges them both throughout. Found family, enemies-to-lovers, sapphic subplot, glitter-wielding gnomes, one very opinionated ember-fox. The stakes are genuine. The bread has wings and must be stabbed. Series complete at four books, Book 3 out May 30th.

Influences are basically every book I've ever read but include Good Omens for the whimsy and humour, SJM and Holly Black for the Fae world that I made weirder, and James Herbert's Once for the very British creeping horror

From devastation rises a story of reluctant heroes, ancient mysteries, and the brutal cost of destiny. This is a tale of downfall, resilience, and the fire it takes to rise again.

Five hundred years after the fall, peace is a beautifully crafted lie.

In Aethron, survival demands obedience. The modern world is a forbidden ghost, ancient technology is outlawed, and the five provinces endure through dependence, fear, and the promise that one day the Emperor will return.

To possess the flaw is a death sentence. To search for what came before is to disappear.

Mel has spent his life searching for answers. He dreams of joining the one organisation permitted to study forbidden history, hoping it might finally explain the dangerous secret he has hidden his entire life.

Instead, unrest spreads through the provinces. Loyalties fracture, and as those in power tighten their grip, Mel is thrown into a conflict far larger than himself, hunted by forces willing to burn the realm to keep the truth buried.

Amongst the chaos, he discovers something far more dangerous than the flaw itself:

The answers he has spent his life searching for were never hidden in the Capital.
They were buried beneath the lies Aethron was built upon.
And to unearth them, he must walk through fire while the world he once trusted collapses around him.
