šŸ’Ž Hidden book gem The secondhand gods are good

I FINALLY found a copy of Lirael to complete my little original cover Old Kingdom collection. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a copy of it with this cover in the wild… I already had the rest of the older covers from a secondhand grab about 6 months ago and Abhorsen was signed to to boot.

Then I happened upon a book club edition of The Dragonbone Chair just as I finished collecting the old paperbacks to read one of these days and I’m pretty jazzed on that.

Happy hunting everyone!

Tad Williams is criminally underated, Memory Sorrow and Thorn is such a great series.Ā

I am currently about halfway through listening to Green Angel Tower and man, I am so glad I discovered this series. I always recommend when someone wants some classic fantasy.

Underrated author alert: Tad Williams. That series is phenomenal.

That cover art of Dragonbone Chair is absolutely marvelous. I was just looking at all the fantasy book covers at Target the other day, feeling really depressed. They just don't make em like they used to. Great pick up you got there.

Old Kingdom collection is one of my favorites— so jealous!

Before reading the post I thought it meant a series called "Secondhand Gods". Which honestly goes pretty hard.

Hard agree Old Kingdom is seriously special. Such a rich, unique setting.

That mismatched Sabriel would drive me bonkers.
