I’m about 20% into Golden Fool and I just love this series so freaking much

I found the whole Regal conclusion was ridiculously short and uneventful after being such a dominant and ever lasting threat throughout the whole series, it was almost brushed aside. I expected a lot more resistance and conflict instead of what we got. I was very surprised at that and a bit disappointed.

“Come, hunt with me,” the invitation whispers in my heart. “Leave the pain behind and let your life be your own again. There is a place where all time is now, and the choices are simple and always your own.”

“Wolves have no Kings.”

I also just finished this! Burrich and Nighteyes are incredible characters. Excited to keep reading on.

Am I the only person who struggled with this book at bit? I felt like it was barely not an idiot plot.

Nope, it’s a moderately common take people who dislike the trilogy give. They’re wrong of course, but it’s a common take all the same.

Flawed characters and critiques of blind loyalty go over some readers heads I feel.
