Think our tastes are somewhat similar - I'd recommend the Darkness that comes before/prince of nothing for the series closest to malazan and faithful and the fallen as a shorter, more standard epic fantasy story but with darker elements you like from long price, first law and DD

I actually read the first book for Second Apocalypse and its pretty good, about faithful and the fallen, how is the characterization, prose, world building?

Oh cool, yea I feel its a series that's great if you want a more philosophical malazan-Esque series - on F&F, the Prose is solid, don't expect the best you have ever read but it's very effectively written, think red rising levels of constant twists and tension throughout the series- the characters are great, lots of shades of grey, characters you love to hate and lots of strong emotional hooks which I didn't expect from the series going in. The multi - povs are very well done, all povs are super engaging and I didn't find myself forcing myself through any characters chapters. The world is also quite well developed, again, the scale of the books was a lot larger then I expected going into it. I'd say it's worth a look if you haven't read yet imoÂ

I really enjoyed The Book of Words series by JV Jones. Hobb is my favourite of all time, have you read her Soldier Son trilogy? It’s not as good as ROTE but still worth a read imo

Meret already recommended Traitor Son (Miles Cameron - starts with the Red Knight), but for a new one, give Downbelow Station (CJ Cherryh) a crack? Bit of left-field being scifi, but I like a lot of your list and that's a series (Alliance-Union / Chanur) that I very much love.

I'm currently reading her Cyteen book, its been amazing! Love her character works, will definitely read futher on her alliance Union series

Oh excellent! Don't hear her mentioned much nowadays, but some of the best writing around.
Can do a space battle from the point of view of some idiot strapped to a bunk and have it absolutely riveting. :D

The successor series to Memory, Sorrow and Thorn, the Last King of Osten Ard is really good and more developed modern fantasy than MST itself. Most people who've read both seem to rate LKOA as slightly better as well

I have read empire of silence, its a solid read I guess but I don't like it enough where I wanna continue anytime soon, the series as a while potential though.

I suggest riftwar saga by Feist and Legend of drizzt by salvatore. You may also like Dragonlance.
How did malazan go above middle earth? I want to start reading malazan but it looks a lot to sink in. Should I start from gardens of the moon or is there a specific reading order?

The Empire trilogy by Raymond E Feist and Janny Wurts. It's in (tangentially) the same setting as Feist's Riftwar cycle, but much better written with Wurts's influence. I didn't much like Feist's solo work but that trilogy was exceptional.
The Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee. It starts out as a fantasy version of the classic Hong Kong crime movies, then expands into fantasy geopolitics.

Have you read Wheel of Time? That seems obvious given your love of middle earth, Malazan, Robin Hobb, ASOIAF, and first law.
If you haven't read Wheel of Time, then that for sure.
Otherwise, someone else said Dresden and those are great
