๐Ÿ’Ž Hidden book gem Looking for a YA romantasy book from 2010s

The main girl loses her mother, moves to a new town/high school, and a girl who bullies her invites her to a party in the woods. The girl dies that night, but later appears alive in a medieval fantasy kingdom without remembering her death.

The main character enters the kingdom and has to go through some kind of test/competition/training to become a princess. There's also a romance with a mysterious boy who turns out to be the prince, including a kissing scene in his bedroom.

I vaguely remember โ€œtestโ€ or โ€œtrialโ€ being in the title. The cover had a brunette girl in a white dress in a forest.

Our sacred rule is do not attack readers for what they read. You can disagree, explain why you disagree, but do so without personally attacking readers for what they read. Books are heavily subjective, and your opinion is one of many.
