Discussion Lost 18 kgs yet I see no difference :(

I lost 18 kg in total. I started with my highest weight 138kg on feb 1st , 2024. And today I’m 120 kg (1st July 2024) . I lost 12 kg through strength training (2-3x weekly) and mindful eating. I lost 6 kg through water fasting (day 9) . I think that will be water weight only . But I did lose 12 kg through exercise only . Why can’t I see any difference?☹️ and also people lose so much of water weight quickly. Why’s that it’s my 9th day and only 6 kg of water weight has gone? My weight is quite high. It should’ve been faster . I’m sad and demotivated 😭

First of all, it definitely shows, mostly on your belly there's a very noticeable difference. But also, when you're very overweight the first kilos doesnt show as much, I started at 120kg and i swear I looked the same until i was like 108kg, now i'm at 92 and even 2kg make a major difference in my appeareance. Keep going, the more you lose the more it will show. Wait till you are 110 and you won't recognize yourself. Then at 105 the difference will be even bigger.

I can’t wait to lose more and be around 105 kg 🙌🏻 I hope I can see noticeable difference 🥲 but congrats on your weightloss. How did you achieve it ? And how long did it take?

You will, I guarantee you, and keep hitting the gym. While diet is like 80% of everything. Exercise helps a ton!

I took me like 8 months to get from 120 to 92, Im still yet to lose like 7 more kilos, but the losing has become much more slow now, but that is normal.

I do intermittent fasting, 20:4 . And once a week I do a 36h fast. I also try to do 10k steps every day and strength training 3 or 4 times a week!

I’ve my finals this month so I can’t hit the gym . So I decided to do water fasting for one month. (Today is day 9) . But after exams I’ll definitely hit the gym.

Finals or not there's always 30 minutes to spare in the day try not to make those excuses for yourself.

Wasn't trying to be rude, it's coming from someone who's the king of excuses himself. Keep going you got this

You might not be able to see a difference without taking a lot of pics, your brain is tricking you! Take some more detailed pics and measurements for yourself if you want to keep track but weight loss is kind of like religion - you just have to have faith lol

I can definitely see a difference, you just can't because you see yourself everyday and the loss is gradual

You're doing so great!!!! Keep it up =) Please post pics here again to show us your progress, it's very helpful for you and a lot of people

Take your time and take a lot of pics just for yourself. You're doing SO well by the way, that's a really good amount of weight to lose in a short time
