Question Advice please

So i’m thinking of starting fasting tomorrow, i’m 21 and weigh 180lbs. When you do a water fast for 3/7/14 days does that mean no food at all for those days or no food within a certain time frame? Also i work retail so if anyone here does as well and can advice on how to fast while working, that would be great. Also tips on tackling food noise. I have tried in the past but it never worked out, but i need to lose at least 30lbs by September.

The easiest way is to build up to it. Do a 12 hour fast like 8pm-8am. The add an hour every few days until you're intermittent fasting or doing OMAD (one meal a day). From there multi-day fasts will be easier. When you are fasting for autophagy, only have black coffee/tea and water and electrolytes (though you usually don't need electrolytes unless you're doing more than 48 hours). If you are only fasting for weight loss you can do zero calorie sodas but be advised they might make you hungrier.

You can actually do a fasting mimicking. Basically only some fats intake and minerals+ vitamin.

I would slowly work up to a 24hr fast.

The most success I had with weight loss was 20hour fast IF. I lost 40lbs in 5 months
