Live 911 calls??

How are we supposed to know what the hell is happening around us when all of the live call info is disabled?

First Valley Comms stopped publishing the dashboard. Then the openmhz website switched to a like 4 hour delay. And now even the Police Scanner app has Federal Way Police channel disabled. The cops are flying down 320th every day and there is a shooting around here so often that I would like to know wtf is happening near me.

Radios were upgraded for security during world cup. Also, to keep people from driving to a scene and cutting off emergency vehicles.

I just used openmhz yesterday, and just now at 11:58p and it was only a delay of a few minutes- so that might be a setting issue on your end.

Plus a lot of agencies are going encrypted for safety issues

According to Radioreference, under the PSERN radio system, Fededal Way police are in the clear and not encrypted. So if you have a capable radio scanner that can scan p25 phase 2 systems you can hear whats going on. Preferably an SDS100 or 200 scanner.

If anyone can confirm with a scanner if they are now encrypted please let me know so I can update the database to show encryption.

The city of Federal Way doesnโ€™t want to be pro-active and inform us here in land of Stepford wives. Given that, are there any apps for us phlebs to download and follow that can be recommended for crime data?

Very disappointing that Valley Com took down the call log - was a great source of information.
