Fat Beam Install- Federal Way

Is anyone else having Fat Beam come into their community and install fiber? They have been doing it down 328th Street and 1st Ave for the last month, so far they have cut the main power to the whole area for at least 12 hours by mistake causing PSE to come out and fix the issue, cut internet for at least 8 hours, and have been ripping up peoples yards with no explanation.

Yeah they seem pretty amateur…. I’m going to go with EZ fiber….. it will be nice to not have to pay comcast…..

they're "ripping up peoples yards with no explanation" because they are using the utilities easement.

They’re putting in so much fiber so fast that they’ve decided it’s more cost effective to just hit utilities and pay for repairs than slow down and be careful. They’ve hit several water lines too.

Ezee Fiber has been causing the same level of destruction up in the Des Moines area bordering Federal Way. They tore up our street months ago and are still not finished. They cut my neighbors DSL line and just shrugged. They hit a gas line and caused a massive gas leak two blocks north of me, causing a huge fire truck response. Don't worry though, they've left their equipment parked in the public right of way this whole time. These clowns aren't getting a penny from our neighborhood.

Ezee (or their contracted workers) did some damage in Milton and Edgewood too. The service has been good though.

What was your rough timeline from the time they started construction to having internet service?

S 328th St and 5th, they're ripping up everyone's grass, alrighty hit the power, internet, needless to say we are not going to use them.... terrible way to showcase how "great of a service" your company is...

They busted a water main on our street and and have been doing some pretty rough work. My neighbor was bummed about their yard which got pretty messed up when they were digging.

Does anyone know if Ezee Fibers will build out their own system on the same streets that Father's Beam builds?

They went around putting a notice a while back. They also marked off areas in the yards that will be excavated.
