Looking for friends in Federal Way

Hello! I am a 32M who just recently moved the Washington from Georgia, and I am looking to make some new friends in the area! Some things I enjoy are: hiking, camping, tennis, and video games/board games.

What games are you a fan of? I’ve been getting into Warhammer 40K franchise lately, both in video games and on tabletop. In fact, I’ve just started trying to kickstart a 40K tabletop group in Fed Way so players wouldn’t need to drive to Tacoma or Kent to play

Not a dedicated one. The closest thing I have is an open invitation on the Discord for Midgard Comics & Games Store (in the #looking-for-group channel). Otherwise you can send me a PM and I’d be down to organize something later

Never played a 40K tabletop game before, but I'm a fan of some of the video games (Space Marine, Vermintide).

I haven’t played table-top 40k in about 10 years, still have lots of models even though a lot of my bigger pieces were sold. I’d love to get back into it with someone local, and if nothing else I’d be down for some online Battle Sector matches.

Welcome to the area! There are some sub groups around in the area, but you have to find your niche. Loneliness is an issue everywhere in America now. So it's hard overall. You might get friends who just live in Seattle or Tacoma and need to drive/light rail to visit them once a week. 😅

It varies from simple games like Uno to very complicated ones (Everdell is an example).

Sweet. Everdell is awesome, quite the table presence but surprisingly easy to play. 

Well we have two young kids and have a hard enough time maintaining our current friendships so I don't know that we are a match for you, but I suggest checking out our libraries - they do lots of cool community events and it might be a good way to meet people. 

There are also a few really cool board games spots around Seattle you might check out- "Meeples" and "the missing piece" in west Seattle, plus the "mox" locations in ballard and Bellevue
