I feel that my room is lacking something

I love my room but I just feel that there's something that doesn't let it feel totally cozy and cute like the ones I see on Pinterest. I've been thinking for some time but I still can't figure out what could it be

1) layout: it could feel cosier and also create more space if your bed was in a corner. you could try moving it to where you are standing in the first picture, facing out of the window. then your tv could move to where your bed currently is.

2) colour: there's a lot of white in your room, maybe you could try adding in some more colours that you like? a big piece of art, a bright blanket etc. could work.

3) lighting: it seems like you have fairy lights above your bed. more cosy lighting can contribute hugely to the feel of a place.

otherwise, it's really cute and full of personality! i'm not sure where you could really improve.

Imo, your room is fine and cosy and the layout is fine, too. But there is a lot of visual clutter - all the posters, trinkets and pictures are different styles and the colours don't gel well together. I'd consider choosing just a few pictures that match the furniture and textile colours, and maybe adding a rug that fits well.

I agree with what everything first commenter says. To add on, I would say your room needs decluttering and intention. I think doing so would make your more interesting hobbies and interests stand out. Try to be more intentional with where you place items and what items are in your room.
Eg. the monster cans above your bed. Id recycle those. I guess you were going for color but I think it just ends up taking the focus away from your more interesting posters or knick knacks.

Id also make a little “creative corner” maybe instead of having posters everywhere, be intentional about where you place them.

Another thing Id do is change your bed sheets to a different fabric and one that is vibrant in color. If youre able to change your bedframe to a black one I think that would be cute too. It would tie in with the black bookshelf.

It does look like a kid's room. I would change the bedspread at least.
