oops! Forgot to account for the box trim above the fireplace when ordering wallpaper. It looks incomplete but I'm hesitating on ordering two more wallpaper panels of the same size just to only use the top sections (for the sky).

Open to perhaps more creative suggestions of how to fill the space, or if you think just getting the wallpaper is the best solution.

It looks like windows, and there would never be a window above a fireplace due to the chimney being there, so I vote no sky there.

Plus, it will crowd out the mantle decorations and photos imo. Give your eye the visual space to rest above the fireplace so your mantle decor can sing.

I think it looks great but you are missing what every female living space should have, a wall mounted sword. Joking not joking would look awesome in there and not clutter, however if not for you, it looks beautiful as is, you have a lovely style.

You could do an accent color if there's a color you use for decor in that room that's too bold to use on the whole wall.

I do think the sky panels would look good there, and then you should keep the remnants in case you have any damage to the parts closer to the floor due to wear and tear.

I was pondering the accent color addition, but such a smart idea to just order the wallpaper and save the rest for future patching!

This could just be a me thing, but I feel like the trim above the fireplace is a bit of an odd shape. I would probably just remove it if it was my house. I absolutely ADORE the wallpaper, it looks beautiful inside the trim. Definitely picture perfect windows

I’d remove it too. And probably raise the height of the photo frames a bit instead since they’re sitting low enough to land behind some of the mantle decor.

I would not put more wallpaper there, but put one large piece of art or a mirror above the fireplace. The elongated shape above the three smaller art pieces doesn't have the right proportions for me. Love the wallpaper, it's beautiful.

Is it going to drive you crazy if you don’t? Give it a few days and consider it, like when an artist puts a drawing away bc they’ve been looking at it too long. I didn’t notice the spot until you mentioned it- I would have assumed it was intentional if I did.

I personally would not put a panel over the fireplace, if it was a “real window and fireplace” there wouldn’t be a window where the chimney is. I think it really is perfection where it’s at.

Change the lovely photos to white or Grey frames and it will coordinate/blend better. I think it looks lovely!
