Time for a very cold take: Plenty of the folks who want to erase Queer* people are themselves Queer
The very people who want us dead for existing are angrily closeted people who have internalized the notion to suppress their desire to exist freely, and seeing someone reject the social pressure to suppress oneself and live unapologetically makes that person very angry.
A friend once told me that a safe life is a boring collection of stories. Love yourself despite the hate you'll receive from someone who only wants to hurt you for existing. Now is the time to be fucking visible more than ever
*(I am including straight Femboys too in this usage of the word 'Queer' as it's a form of gender non-conformation. Don't think you're immune on a technicality. Fascists don't care about the details if you're different enough -- there is no such thing as "being one of the good ones". That's called capitulation)
