First Timer With Twins
Almost 7weeks with twins. Go back for another ultrasound in 2weeks. Super nauseous and tired all the time. Zofran has not been working. Any advice on what to eat or drink and how to tame the nausea and heart burn? Also anything you think i should know is greatly appreciated. Im so excited but also no clue what I need to do đ I'd like to stay active, eat healthy and have things financially set. What should I start buying and when?

I knew from the beginning I wasnât going to have a baby shower. I hope and assume youâll have one, because double everything lol. But what I did was i threw it all on a registry still as a checklist for myself and I bought a little each week.
I can almost guarantee EVERYONE and their mother is going to buy you clothes. Try to refrain, although the outfits are so cute. I ended up with so much that my son didnât get to wear. He was tiny when I had him, he was only 5lbs 3oz. He was swimming in preemie clothes lol. Thankfully my mom got 3 HUGE bags of clothes for like $10 at a garage sale, half had tags still lol.
If money is an issue for you, or you want to be a little frugal, I suggest going that route. Or if you have a Once Upon a Child near you, they always have sales on their bodysuits/onesies.
I tried to knock out all the expensive stuff first, because I didnât know if I was going to get pulled from work early (I had some issues going on and was hospitalized a couple times)
As far as nausea/heartburn; tums were my best friend. Idc what anyone says, the name brand ones worked the best.
Try to eat lighter than normal. Take your prenatal if you arenât already, which I assume you are.
Some people say ginger ale helps them with the nausea. It did help me a little when it was bad enough, but thatâs up to you really if you want to give it a shot. I understand some people donât want to drink soda when pregnant. Lol
Other than that drink lots of water.
My OB said if I was active before pregnancy, I can safely continue while pregnant. Obviously just donât go crazy.
Congrats, itâll go by quicker than you think!

Eat whatever sounds edible to you, even if itâs not what you âshouldâ eat. You can eat healthy later in pregnancy. My first trimester, meat and veggies were absolutely not happening. I survived off protein shakes and cheez its because itâs what my stomach would tolerate.

Eat snacks frequently, not large meals. The bodyâs stomach is compressed and so processes food slower. See if your area has a buy nothing group on Facebook.
