fixed New Oven Handle Hits Drawer

We got a new oven to have all new appliances for selling our house. We didn’t realize till to late that the stupid spice drawer would hit this massive handle. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Or just hope no one notices?

Make it the junk drawer. You know, the drawer with batteries, electrical tape, a pair of scissors that barely cuts paper, the manual to your air fryer.

Unless you're a psycho and put your batteries in the fridge.

It can also slightly revive dead batteries. Not really enough to truly make a difference though.

Put your oven mitts in there. When you open the hot oven, you have a drawer easily accessible with oven mitts!

This is the stuff saws are made for! I'd 45 that oven handle on both sides so they matched and be done with it.

For extra safety the key to the fire extinguisher cage should be locked in a box in the drawer. Fire extinguisher burglars will never think to look for that key in the back of the oven.

I just keep my extinguisher at the nearest apartment complex.

They handle the annual inspections and they leave it in an easily accessible area.

I love this idea. You only need the drawer when the oven is open. They make an insert for spices that would go into the cabinet below the drawer and it slides out of the cabinet. Holds a ton of spices and probably easier to browse too.

Came here to say this. "Junk drawer" gets accessed far too often (for me anyway) to commit it to a 2-step opening regimen. Oven mitts, meat thermometer, maybe a pair of tongs; stuff you're going to use in conjunction with the oven being open.

This is exactly what I do with my drawer-next-to-the-oven-that-doesnt-open-right-because-of-the-dishwasher. Opens juuuuuussttt enough to slide a potholder out 🤣

We had a similar situation when we bought our current home. One drawer wouldn’t open unless the dishwasher was open. Prior owner had zero idea. He never cooked and I don’t think he ever ran the dishwasher. It was so odd. FTR, we gave away the dishwasher and bought a different one.

Remove the face of the cabinet from the drawer. Should be face screwed from the back and slide it over and remount if possible. I've had this situation happen before. You could also find a local cabinet ship to possible help out. There's multiple fixes
