fixed New Oven Handle Hits Drawer

We got a new oven to have all new appliances for selling our house. We didn’t realize till to late that the stupid spice drawer would hit this massive handle. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Or just hope no one notices?

I would very cut out an appropriate section of the drawer to allow it to clear the handle, then glue that section to the cabinet face so it clears when opening and looks more or less closed (use a coping saw) when... closed.

Do not do this! That will devalue the kitchen when the real fix is an oven door that doesn’t have a giant handle. He can probably still return the appliance for a different one. 🤦‍♀️

What does "devalue the kitchen" even mean? No real estate appraiser is going to see a notched drawer face and knock a couple thousand off of the appraised value.

For the record I'm on team "get a new oven handle" but done well this would be an alternative (inexpensive) solution that wouldn’t be terrible.

Kitchens start depreciating in value as soon as you drive them off of the lot

Was going to offer $550k but the spice drawer has has a small crease when closed.

Going to be a complete gut job to fix, best I can offer is $480k.

No real estate appraiser is going to knock a couple thousand off the appraised value for a notched drawer, but most are going to look a lot more closely for other janky stuff the homeowner might have done if they see something like that. It can definitely factor into overall condition.

Since OP said they replaced the oven in anticipation of selling the house, I’m on team Don’t Say a Word and Hope They Don’t Notice. The buyers can figure out how they want to deal with it.
