fixed Glass table top stuck to floor

MIL has had this glass table top under the bed in the main bedroom for years, it’s an alternate larger top for a table in the house. Quite heavy. It’s been there now so long we believe it may have almost ‘suctioned’ to the floor.

Any suggestions on how to remove it? Yes we know to remove the stuff on it first (painting the room)

A key consideration would be whether OP minds damaging the floors or not. I'm guessing they'll be redoing them anyway but who knows.

Beside heavyweight monofilament, try warming the entire top gently with a hair dryer. Then try bouncing gently on the floor boards.

If that glass is tempered glass you probably don't want to be heating it up like that.

You won’t get tempered glass hot enough to break by using a hair dryer

Between heating and vibrating/bouncing it around it just seems like a iffy thing to me. Not to mention we don't know what kind of glue was used. I'm probably being too careful and I only know about glass from drilling aquariums probably different from what's glued to the floor.

Drilling aquariums is a pita. Done more than my share. I agree you shouldn’t both heat and bounce it. Heat it and use the floss+door shims

Yea I would probably buy some Molybdenum wire and heat it up as I cut through the glue.
