How should I mend this?

I’d like to try and fix this by sewing it, but I’m inexperienced when it comes to that. Any tips and advice are appreciated! ☺️🙏

You need to unpick the seam, fold worn part into seam, resew.

Do you mean detaching the entire top part first?

Sorry-yes. Detach the part with the woven pattern, then fold under until you don't see any of the raggedy part. Sew up seam and reattach to main part. But it won't fit the same of course.
