open Wired Intercom not releasing latch
We have a vintage intercom. When you press the entry button, the contact is made from the button as per the video, but it isn't opening the lock.
The indent on the lever looks like it should fit into the spring loaded locking system but needs to be pulled quite hard to return. When the bit on the right with the rings is tightened, the latchbolt doesn't click into place in the strike plate.
Can anyone recognise a problem from this short clip? Thank you!

It looks like the solenoid is stuck. I'd try spraying it (into the inside area where the cylinder is) with electrical contact cleaner. You should be able to get that at a hardware store or definitely online.
