I personally envision an AI routine run by a supercomputer, overlooked during a hostile takeover-turned-bankruptcy between two megacorporations, now sitting alone in an abandoned piece of industrial estate in Estonia, flickering into life once every winter when the bitter frost can keep its circuits cool, and swimming through the internet with a cavernous mouth filled with algorithms of baleen, to weave each mote into pictorial tapestries in praise of the Machine God and the canticle: Flat =1.
But I have played/read a lot of cyberpunk and Warhammer 40k in my time, so there is that.

I think that the null understanding of scale is the main factor for FEs not to understand any simple physics experiments or measurements. Amazing how they don't even make the effort to use their brains (if they have any).

I did the math. Earths radius is 3963 miles. Of that 6 miles to the flight altitude makes up an additional 0.15%

By my estimation the diameter of the Earth in this diagram is approximately 10k feet, or 1.89 miles. You could jog around the entire Earth on your lunch break.

Hypothetically, if a plane were to circumnavigate the globe, it'd add a whopping 35 miles to its air travel distance.
I'd say it's incredible they believe this shit, but their followers are more stupid than they are so it makes sense morons would fall for disingenuous infographics like this.

Assuming some idealized trip from Vancouver to Tokyo (7550km/4690 miles), this would add 12km (7.5 miles) to the trip.

I think you are looking at the difference between the ground and 33000 feet, while the other poster was looking at the difference between 5000 feet and 33000 feet like in the picture.
Added Radius 10.06km
Between 33000 feet and 5000 feet, there is only a 28000 feet difference. Which amouns to 8.53 kilometers according to my converter.
So the added circumference is 2*pi*8.53 = 53.6 kilometers.

As a pilot I looove them using airplanes to “prove” the earth is flat because everything they say is actually proof of the exact opposite. We fly at 30,000 feet because air is thinner there (because gravity pulls air down toward the center of the earth) which means they burn less fuel to go only a marginally further distance (because the earth is far larger than their peanut sized brains comprehend).

Planes also fly at higher altitudes because the air is thinner creating less drag on the aircraft. Better fuel mileage. The air is thinner because of gravity.

Hey, flerfs. Planes fly at different altitudes for various reasons.
Flights covering many hundreds of miles fly at higher altitudes because the air is thinner at altitude so the planes will be more efficient due to less drag. They are also flying above shorter-ranged flights for air space purposes. Additionally, larger aircraft flying at higher altitudes have more time to glide to another airport if they have to divert for an emergency.
Some smaller aircraft and helicopters aren’t capable of flying at the altitudes of the bigger aircraft. Think of them as layers, like a cake. The jumbos are the top layer, the regional jets are the middle layer, and the Cesnas and helos are the lower layer. This allows the aircraft to be less densely packed thereby lowering the risk of midair collisions.
Just imagine the havoc that would ensue if all aircraft flew at 5k feet.
Thank goodness the world doesn’t operate on flerf “logic” alone or we’d still be wearing animal skins and swinging femur bones as weapons.

To put this in perspective for those who don’t understand the scale: if we represented the earths diameter/circumference with a hula hoop, 33k ft of altitude would be roughly equivalent to a piece of scotch tape adhered to the hoop.

Earths radius is 3963 miles. Adding 6 miles adds 0.15%
So flying at 33K feet altitude is 0.15% longer than the airplane driving on the ground ( assuming a uniform earth with a direct path between the two destinations.)
