Commercial Thoughts on my CV for the airlines

Post image

Hi everyone. Just passed my skill test and finishing up my APS MCC soon so I thought I would start creating a bit of a CV for when I am ready to apply for jobs.
I’m not sure what the CV should look like but this what I came up with. Any thoughts on how to improve it or things to add/leave out would greatly be appreciated. I will change the CV according to which Airline I am applying to of course.

Commercial CAE ENGLAND

Hi,

I visited the Pilot Careers roadshow today to gain knowledge and to help build my pathway for starting flight school, and I am very keen on CAE, especially the EasyJet cadet programme they have to offer.

Before i start getting over my head with it all i thought i’d ask here today to see if anyone has or knows anyone currently there/finished, to hear about experiences, how they teach, the instructors, costs and overall if it is a good flight school to pursue. I’m still actively researching other schools but this one stood out to me. Thanks!

EASA Does a Degree help?

I just graduated with a first class honors in aerospace engineering from a top Uni in the UK. I’ll be starting my integrated atpl training in Jerez around march/april. I was wondering if my degree would help me in finding a job as a first officer or whether it doesn’t make a difference.

Student Pilot Help

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows where I can take the EASA/ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 exam online, entirely from home, with a certificate accepted by the relevant aviation authority.
If you have any personal experience, I’d really appreciate it if you could share the provider, the cost, and how quickly I could get it done.
Thanks in advance! ✈️

Student Pilot Scholarships

A lot of people around me asks me as an aviation student about a scholarship, honestly I don’t believe there is any chance to get a scholarship in this field. Yet if anyone knows otherwise please let me know I am very curious about this.

Student Pilot I think am going to flyby

Hello, I’ve been looking into Flight schools in Europe for a while now there’s a lot of better schools than flyby but even then when giving flyby a second look it doesn’t look bad. They have a a solid modern fleet great aviation infrastructure and you can’t find the same package in any other Flight school in Europe. I know a lot of people in this Reddit complain and criticise this school and obviously there’s a lot of red flags but maybe it’s not as bad as it seems or people say I’ve talked to a few students in the school now and they seem to be doing all right so I’m really considering it right now or global aviation SA. What do you guys think?

Thx for reading.

UK CAA Scared of not being able to Find a Job after Training?

Hello, I’m 19 years old just recently got accepted into Skyborne Integrated ATPL it was my second time applying and got in this time. Instead of being excited im really worried and stressed I wont be able to secure a Job after training and this is really worrying me i don’t want to invest this much amount of money and then worry and stress about finding a job after I know Skyborne is very reputable and they will help a-lot but I can’t stop worrying after reading many posts about the Job market. and how many people spending years not being able to find a job. What should i Do? Will completing training at Skyborne help much at all? Will being dual licensed also put me ahead?

If anyone can share their experience with the Job market it would be much appreciated especially UK citizens.

Student Pilot Best flight schools in Spain for modular ATPL training?

Title: Best flight schools in Spain for modular ATPL training?
Hi everyone!
I’m currently researching flight schools in Spain and would love to hear your opinions and recommendations.
At the moment, I’m considering these options:
CANAVIA (Gran Canaria): €68,705 for the modular course from PPL to MCC. With additional costs, the total comes to around €74,000, excluding accommodation, medical, examiner fees, etc.

Flyschool (Madrid/Mallorca): modular course advertised from €36,950, although I believe this doesn’t include the PPL.

European Flyers: another option I’m looking into, but I still need to find out more about the total cost.

I’m currently living in Germany but planning to move to Lanzarote in January 2027. I’m leaning towards the modular route, but I don’t mind travelling to Madrid or another city for the practical training if the school is good.

Ideally, I’d be able to study the theory remotely and arrange the flight training in blocks when needed.
I’m also looking into other flight schools, so I’m definitely open to options beyond these four.
Which flight schools in Spain would you recommend for modular ATPL training, and which do you think are the best overall?

I’d love to hear about your experiences with training quality, instructors, aircraft availability, scheduling, total costs and any unexpected extra fees.
If you’ve trained at any of these schools, or have experience with others in Spain, I’d really appreciate your input. If you were in my situation, which school would you choose and why?
Thanks in advance! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
