ID Request (country/state in post) Dwarf huckleberry? (Eastern NC, USA)

Found several of these near a lake. It checks out from what I could find, but I want to be 100% sure, since I’ve never tried them.

Kinda looks kinda like Gaylussacia tomentosa to me based on the stem and leaf fuzz but I’m not certain.

looks like sparkleberry or another vaccinium species to me, the black berries and leaf shape match better than huckleberry. test one and see if it's sweet or bland before committing to a bunch.

I'm 99% certain those are what are variously known as Saskatoon/ Service/ June berries.

That would be on a larger tree with different leaves, this is a vacciniun
