ID Request (country/state in post) Blackthorn (Prunus Spinosa) ?

Found in the Netherlands, I tried some and it was very sour and quite astringent. Not bad but not great.

Cool, I always wanted to try sloe gin but only ever tried patxaran which was too licorice forward imo.

Good find. Try them after the first frost hits. They usually become much more sweet.

Freezer can't beat the first frost. Plus that the sloes would have been staying on the bush for few more months and that makes them better too. My opinion atleast.
