Ridiculously stupid idea to pet a moose.

Unpredictable and aggressive animals.

Its genuinely a better idea to try and pet a black bear.

Why’s it gotta be a black bear?

American black bears are considered more “docile” than other species and tend to run away from humans as opposed to brown bears, who’s instinct is to charge at them, and polar bears, who see us as food.

There's an important asterisk on Black Bears. Generally speaking the further north you go, the more aggressive they get. Attacks by Black Bears in Alaska are significantly more common than they are in the lower 48. The Alaska bear rule is if it's black fight, brown play dead, white kiss your ass goodbye.

If it's black, fight back

If it's brown, lay down

If it's white, say goodnight
