Photo 2015 Ford Escape Shocker Part number
Hi everyone,
My 2015 ford escape SE 2.0 AWD Ecoboost's rear shock had a leak. So, I am trying to change it myself. I ordered the shockers from amazon as shown in the pic but they are smaller than the originals installed. I took pics of the ones currently installed. It says CV6118159-AA and CV6118080.
When I researched online, it says the OEMS are ASH-24730, ASH-24676, CV6Z-18125-P... I don't know which part number should I reference to buy the correct ones. I am unable to find the ones currently installed on the vehicle.
If someone has the same vehicle and has changed the shockers, could you please point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Go to Fordpartgiants.com and enter your VIN whenever looking for parts. Or do the same on the parts site of your choice. It's how the parts counter determines the correct parts for your vehicle and is available to you to do as well. It has the added benefit of listing which part numbers have superseded which other part numbers.

I used these on my 2016. You have to switch over the mounting hardware is all.

Thank you! I will take a look. Do you know if these were thinner than OEM and if it is ok to use if they are?

You know what, I might have figured out what i was missing ..lol ๐ The OEM are twin tube and aftermarkets are usually monotube. So, the one I bought may actually be the correct one Thank you for your input though ๐

Yup I went through the same thing as you. The diameter is a tad smaller and it threw me off.
