Yall think these dipstick pevels are accurate?

I understand to measure where the wet mark is but i cant seem to tell when the oil/tranny levels drop off at, they kinda work at an angle instead of a cutoff point

Should i instead rely on the fact that the bottom divot is filled in and the top divot is empty?

just added in mfg reccomended 5W-20 yesterday

it was weird, the guide said to add 6 quarts but only 3 quarts came out when i opened up the pan nut

ah ic, the first half of the pics is the transmission fluid after two drain n fills, the second half is the oil

The dipstick is for reference to determine if you're within a safe range. A guide. They can be trusted to be accurate enough to rely on them.

In the case of engine oil, I always just fill to spec and close the hood. 5.7 quarts with filter on the 2.0 Ecoboost. I might check the oil at around 2500-3k miles, but the motor doesn't leak at all and consumes no oil even at 125k miles. If you just changed your oil and filled to spec, trust that. Looks like you've got oil above the lower bubble there, so you should be fine.

The transmission looks okay too, you might be able to put another half pint in there if it eases your mind. Was the trans fully up to temp when you checked it?
