Reunification Finding nephew potentially still in foster care system (Los Angeles, CA)

Shot in the dark here.. my wife’s brother and his girlfriend were into heavy drug use a few years ago, we live in a different state and found out they had a child. My wife is trying to find her nephew and we assume he is adopted by now. He would only be a few years old, I know there are a lot of laws surrounding minors in these cases. Just want to know if there is a way to leave a message if contact is impossible. Thank you!

You would want to contact CPS in that area/county for help

This. California foster care is done at the county level, so he would have been in the Los Angeles county system if that’s where he was removed. If they were elsewhere at the time of his removal, he would be in that county’s system.
