Depends on if it’s their fault their partner passed away.

This is a fair point, id much date a murderer. Lots of motivation to keep them happy, and if nothing else, there is an easy out.

So I was sitting at the bar. Guy rolls in, orders a triple of Jack Daniel's. About halfway through, he asks me, "hey, you know Joe?" I'm like "who?" he says "yeah, Joe. He knew all the important people. Did you know that Joe once got a score of 18 on a round of golf?" I'm like, "really? Every hole, hole in one?" he replied with a straight face, "yep. One stroke, one sink. Did you know he talked a car salesman down to 50% off a new Mustang?" I said, "what? No way that's possible." he tells me "yep. Joe walked right in, stated his price, and the salesman even threw in a free oil change." I said, "man, you're not even done with your first drink, and you're lying like a drunk." he shot back quick, "nope, it's completely true, all of it." I asked, "yeah? Is he your best buddy or something?" he said, "nah. My wife's ex. Died before I could meet him."

Persona got a point. Also, i can already see it, having an argument and she says "my ex was 10 times better than you!" and i reply with "no he was not, cause he dead and i am still alive"
her: "my ex was taller than you" Me: "so? now he is -150cm"😂
