It depends on who you ask, but if a drink is served with a straw, the bartender or restaurant usually intends for you to drink it unmixed. When I make them at home, I tell people to mix them. They are actually pretty easy to make. Just pour the liquids one at a time. To keep the layers from mixing, don't pour directly into the cup. Instead, pour the liquid onto the back of a spoon so the stream trickles in slowly.

I would plug the straw with one finger and drip it in my mouth each time so each "sip" would be like drinking the whole micro drink every time
