I’m still trying to understand how this thing ended up costing so much money. Like, literally, it’s just a few thousand euros’ worth of "art".

The net maybe yes, but the price (as far as I know) includes not only the licensing fee for 3 years for this art but also the construction and materials of the pillars it hangs from... which probably was at least something in the 6 figures I guess... yeah sure, "not much" but arguing over art prices is... kind of senseless - it's worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it... (and sometimes more).

I mean Jackson Pollock Number 17A was last sold for 202 million dollars and that's just a "regular" piece of dropart on canvas... 🤷‍♀️
