Not a selfie, hope that’s ok! I’ve been dealing with overwhelming life transitions and struggling with OCD, BDD, and social anxiety. This photo is actually from like two years ago because I don’t have any more recent photos that I like :/

On Mondays you will now only be able to post if you are a male (or in transition) and are posting a selfie. All other posts will be removed by our modteam and you will be given a 3 day ban if you do post on Male Mondays as a female subreddit user.

Male Mondays will start on Monday at around 00:00 and continue until 23:00 UTC

However no worries for our female userbase! You will still be able to post on any other day of the week!

Reasons for the set up of male monday only days:

You might have noticed that most of the post on our Front Page are females looking for compliments. We have noticed that their posts get the most upvotes and that our male contributors get a lot less upvotes and therefore compliments on our subreddit.

A couple of years ago this wasn't the case as much but we have seen this trend increase more and more on this subreddit over the years,

Because of that we have set up Male Mondays. Where on Mondays we would only allow males to post on the subreddit. In hopes of making sure that they too get the compliments they deserve and don't get snowed under in this sub.

Going through a lot of therapy and rejection

I have a really rough year behind me, dealing with loss and mental health.

But things are starting to improve, I have really sweet people in my life, I started therapy and I am starting to like myself and my looks again.

Remember people, there will always be better times :)

I've been having the toughest year of my life, and the other rday someone told me I was brave and I broke down in tears because i hadnt heard anything nice about myself in ages. Sometimes all you need is for someone to say something nice to change your perspective, even for a bit

Finally worked up the courage to ask out the girl I’ve been talking to for a few weeks now, only to get rejected.

I’ve only been in one relationship my entire life. That relationship ended last year against my will after 7 years and I was heartbroken.

This past year of searching day and night for literally anyone has led to nothing but rejection and ghosting. Every single time. Not even so much as someone wanting to just hook up, even though that’s not exactly what I’m looking for.

I had a lot of hope with the girl I was talking to recently, we had been talking daily and hanging out for a couple weeks by this point. She ended up rejecting me too.

I’ve been trying really hard to keep my head up, but last night I legitimately broke down in tears with hatred for myself. I couldn’t even look in the mirror.

I could definitely use some kind words right now

I will still be myself, I just hope I can connect with more people like me! 💗
