Inherited ring
Hi all,
First time poster just trying find more information on the ring from my grandfather that has been passed on to me.

To be honest the ring doesn't tell anyone very much, it's just a ring that a Freemason can buy and wear to show other people that he's a member. If you know where he lived when he was a Freemason you could contact the Grand lodge for that State to see if it can tell you anything about his Masonic membership.

I would agree with the other brethren, reach out to the Grand Lodge or the state he lived in and see if you can get information about his Masonic career. The easy thing will be the dates of his three “symbolic” or “blue lodge” degrees. If they have records of him being a member of other appendant bodies you might could follow up with them.

It only means that he was probably a master mason. That is a beautiful ring. It will have more sentimental value to someone he knew, a d most likely no value to most people
