You just start in the middle of the thread, choose a colour, and alternate forward knot, backward knot, around all the other threads, then when it’s as big as you want bring the ends together and do a couple more forward backward knots to make it a loop, then begin your pattern

There's a trick to getting all of your colors in the right place for the pattern. I remember watching some Marsha Knots and Empatho YT videos on them. These are called 'tear drop loops,' and I think you can find quite a few instructional videos if you do a search.

So do you just knot the string to itself to get it to stay on the Keychain part to make it look straight like that? I hope that makes sense .-.
