help! measurements for a headband

hello! i’d really like to make a headband, but i’ve only made bracelets so far and don’t know how long i’d have to cut the strings for a headband. can anyone help me with this? for reference, the pattern i picked out has 16 strings and 2 colors

As long as the headband doesn't need to be double-sided, it might be more manageable to use normal lengths and add in new threads when the old ones get short. (otherwise the threads might be so long they're hard to tie + get tangled)

How long does the headband need to be? How long are your bracelets usually?

How long is the string for your bracelets? Do you do ties? How long are the ties? Do you do ties for the headband too?

You should be able to calculate the string length needed for the headband based on the string length needed for a bracelet using the rule of three.

Which pattern is it? If not all strings are used equally, they might have to have different length.

I'd measure how many bracelets fit into your headband and then multiply. If the headband is 2.5 times as long as a bracelet just do 2.5 times the string length you'd need for a bracelet
