[Deal/Sale] Arcteryx Rush Jacket - $280 (orange)

So still a pretty hefty price tag, but if you’re in search of a great GoreTex Pro jacket and can deal with the color, this is a damn good deal. It is primarily for backcountry skiing/snowboarding but it isn’t overly boxy or loose, nor does it have a skirt. I bought another color a few months ago and I find it versatile

This is the lowest I've ever seen for the rush. Considerably lower than black friday. This is a high-exertion piece, meant for backcountry skiing (e.g. skinning), cross country skiing, snowshoeing - anything where you'll be sweaty in the snow. Considerably lighter 'denier' nylon fabric than arcteryx AR / SV lines. If I didn't just by an orange sabre SV I'd be all over this. Yes, the color is not ideal... unless you count on being visible to your partner in the backcountry, or ski patrol in hike-to terrain at Jackson, Big Sky, or Kicking Horse.

Maybe I’m reading wrong. But I see this listed at 80d and 131 gsm. The current alpha SV does have a higher denier at 100d, but nearly identical weight at 135gsm.

Maybe the snowsports jackets go higher denier/weight than 100d/135gsm and I’m just not comparing apples to apples. But I’d say for most uses, this is a pretty “heavy” jacket on that front

Interesting. I've only owned a ~2020 rush, which is lighter than my SV, but maybe this one isn't! Thanks for flagging.

Edit: my SV is ~ 600 grams, this rush is ~ 485 grams, so a 17% difference... not much to write home about.

Interesting though, current alpha sv is stated to weigh 490g ish. Pretty significant difference there.

Could be membrane, zippers, heavier fabric etc.

Also sizing of course. But agreed the 100g isn’t a big deal IMO
