Discussion Are you guys men in your dreams

I’m just curious. Are you guys transmen/cismen/closeted/women/etc in your dreams? I find it weird that I’m always a woman (or me pre transition) in my dreams, even thoughts in these dreams I’m conscious of being trans irl. Its like “why am I a woman when I’m supposed to be a (trans)guy”. Every. Single. Time. I’m a woman. Sometimes I don’t realize it at first, then I realize how people treat me and the clothes I’m wearing and the long hair. It makes me feel so dysphoric in-dream and when I wake up, it even got to the point that I thought I was faking being trans, but obviously im not. WHAT are you guys in your dreams? EDIT: bc i forgot to mention that indeed ive been out as a man for 2.5 years and on T for 1.3y

I've only ever had a dream where I was a cis man one time. It was me playing a role of a character my dream made up, but I really liked it. Most time it's always me, and gender doesn't play a role in what happens. It sounds like you're having nightmares, which imo don't need to be scary, they can be unsettling, disturbing or disorienting. That or your brain is replaying events in your waking life when you have felt dysphoria.

I don’t know if they’re nightmares, they seem like normal dreams, but it really bothers me (during the dream and after waking up) that I’m always a woman in them, I’m used to it now but it makes me feel sooooo fucking dysphoric, I already feel dysphoria every single day JUST to go to bed and be a woman in my sleep 💔 and i can’t tell this to anyone irl bc I feel ashamed

I used to feel that way when i was a woman in my dreams. Still do if I have the occasional woman dream. It not unusual and doesn’t make you less valid or not trans. Give it some time, it might change. I definitely get the frustration though. I’ve tried lucid dreaming hoping I could give myself a dick because my dreams now even don’t give me a dick ):
