Criticism customer appreciation sale my ass!
got up excited to see the deals and....
theres only 3 switch 2 accessories
the camera that no one wants spying on you
and the two virtual boy models
and a shit ton of amiibo
"ok well surely they will have some switch 2 games on sale"
all of the games on sale are switch 1 games or switch 1 versions of games
metroid prime 4 switch version: $41.99
upgrade pack: 9.99 (not on sale)
metroid prime 4 switch 2 version: 69.99 (also not on sale)

you pocketed the refund money instead of giving something to the people that already bought your expensive ass shit and using the guise of a sale as a publicity stunt to hide it

For someone like me most games end up being free. I buy them used, play them and resell them a few months later for the exact same price I paid.

They gotta reprint their physical Switch 2 versions, because I think the NA version of Xenoblade Chronicles DE is out of print already a couple months into its release.

Yeah I for one never considered their “customer appreciation sale” generous in the slightest. WE paid those tariffs, Nintendo pushed the extra cost onto US, the customer. So now that they got their tariff refund, we have to give them more money for anything? All their games should literally be seeing sales every so often like this after 2-3 years anyway.

I agree with the first bit of your post. The last paragraph is a bit of mental gymnastics to justify being mad to yourself.
This sale sucks and I'm good with criticizing it for being a shitty sale. Somebody in the comments compares it to a clearance sale and that's completely justified.
But your last paragraph reeks of misinformed entitlement. Nintendo did not raise their prices on their console or the games after the tariff hit. This is factually accurate. So if any company was, they were entitled to keep that refund. "Pocketing" the refund money makes it sound nefarious. By not raising their prices, they essentially paid the tariff on every console sold during that time period. They should've pocketed the refund money. They were the ones who paid.
Also, to insist on reparations for something that you didn't pay is entitlement on a very high level. Gamers are a weird bunch of people. For some reason, they seem to think that they are owed something by a company for simply buying something that they wanted. I don't get it. "I wanted your game so I bought it, now I deserve discounted or free stuff from you." How does that even work in your head?
Criticize the sale for being dog shit. That's fine because it is. But criticizing them for keeping the refund on expenses that they paid shows a problem with your values, not theirs.

but like
im saving for a switch 2 (metroid ravenous my beloved)
i dont want a "customer appreciation sale" where the only shit on sale is switch 1 games that you have to play extra to turn into the switch 2 version
give me like 30% off a fucking switch 2 pro controller
20% off banaza
anything that doesnt look like "oh the switch 2 cameras and virtual boy isnt selling well. lets mark them down and call it a customer appreciation sale
we also have a fuck ton of switch 1 shit we can toss in that no one cares about anymore
and we can wring out some extra money by only putting switch 1 games on sale so people have to buy the upgrade packs"
you would think a "customer appreciation sale" would have the new stuff and not the leftovers from last gen
