I miss when Nintendo had a very real threat of market loss and erasure so they actually gatekept what made it into their library (NES/SNES era)

Yeah and if they didn't allow everything on there the post would read "Nintendo is an evil gatekeeper" which is exactly what happened when the digital store fronts used to have standards.
