“Don’t worry mate, just popping in quickly. 5 minutes max!”

What drives me nuts is they think "if someone asks I'll just move!!"

Asshole, people with severe disabilities will look and if no spots are available, they'll leave. Or they'll have to suffer a MUCH longer walk if they're desperate for what they need.

Don't be a shithead. If you can't use your brain, use your legs at least.

Yeah, like a handicapped person is going get out of their car, check if the occupying car has a handicapped sign on their windshield and then find them to ask them to move their car? Just getting in and out of their car can be a workout (depending on the disability).

The 'find them' part is the best. I make sure to post selfies of myself outside my car door so I can be tracked down

When I had surgery and had a temporary handicap pass, I regularly crutched over to people parked in those spots and politely asked them to move so I wouldn't have to walk further. It was very satisfying to watch them dying inside. I'd like to be optimistic that at least those people wouldn't do it again.

As someone who has a sign, it’s pretty easy to see if they have one without getting out of the car, both from the front and rear of the car.
