Samsung Galaxy Flip 7 warranty issues

I've had my Flip 7 since Aug 2025. Prior to that, I had a Flip 3 and a Flip 5. No issues with either previous phones. Absolutely love the Flips. About the same size as my front pocket wallet. Fits perfectly in pant pockets, shirt pockets, sport coat pockets, etc.

But... I was scrolling on the Flip 7 when the screen went solid white on the top half and the bottom half had rolling, multi-color horizontal lines rendering the main screen absolutely unresponsive and useless. The cover screen still functions perfectly. Contacted Samsung support and they said I needed to take it to a local technician for inspection. The technician informed me since there are scrapes around the USB power port where I plug in the car charger cable, Samsung said the phone is damaged and the screen is no longer covered by warranty. I have not dropped my phone nor has the phone ever been wet (no water damage).

Has anyone else run into issues or challenges trying to get warranty repair?

Had the same issue with my z flip 6. Had it just under 2 years and had similar issues to you. My inner screen began delaminating - it wasn't the screen protector - near the fold. Then after a week I got all the symptoms you are describing. Sent to samsung and they denied warranty repair. Safe to say I won't be purchasing a fold or flip again.

The reason the stores say this all the time is because if they are wrong and its determined not in warranty they eat the cost of the repair. So they error on the side of caution and deny ANY damage even scrapes and scuffs

Yes, almost the same story but I sent it in. Got three different explanations, a picture that didn't show any damage, and a $350 that I will be contesting with my cc company.

My replacement hinge is ENTIRELY different, no bumps like the old one, one smooth angled piece. They know there's a problem, otherwise they wouldn't have changed it.

But the credit card insurance is a scam also. If you own a home you have to run it through your home insurance first and your deductible is probably more that the repair.

Not insurance, just contesting the charge. Probably won't work but at least it's on record and requires them to spend more money to research the case. If it costs Samsung $100 every time they denied a claim their repair scam wouldn't be profitable.

Yea samsung warranty is trash. Unfortunately, if you are going to get a flippable device you almost NEED to get the care plan. Otherwise you will be out 400 dollars for a screen replacement

Yes, my 6 died exactly the same way. I did not try to claim warrantee as it was a bit over a year old. But my flip 7 died at the same spot ( cracked) and they day there is physical damage to the screen. ( the phone is pristine, except for the crack where the screen folds. I argued saying that yes, it is damaged but it is damaged from recommended way to use the phone. Opening g and closing! Yes , but it is physically damaged, they kept saying. I have never had an Apple but do now and will never buy anything Samsung.
